While some of the percentages seemed low 94% of councils have actually recycled and composted more household waste than in 2005/06. Kudos to North Keveston topping the tables with a 55.5% recycled rate, up from 51.5% in 2005/06. Good times. For comparison my own local authority Camden has a total of 28.05%. It seems the composting is really letting us down at 5.67%. This surprises me as Camden has always seemed to be very environmentally friendly, just goes to show we can always be doing a bit more. Or maybe just that appearances can be deceiving. Check out your council and let us know who's doing well and who's got the wooden spoon. [Submitted by admin] [ Edited Tue Nov 27 2007, 01:43PM ] | ||
